Claudia Leisinger REPORTAGE

The view from the Teching tent, 33 degrees centigrade in the afternoon

It was not possible to hold the Kalachakra empowerment as originally planned in the Stupa area because of its limited size and its archeological value.

The banks of the local Krishna River were chosen because the breeze coming through the tent would be pleasant for people during teachings. Of course we never imagined that the Dhyana Buddha statue, which faces the Kalachakra temple 120 feet away from where His Holiness Dalai Lama is giving the teachings, would be almost completed.
