Such an event can be only an opportunity; it is in the hands to the people of Amaravati to make out of it what they want.

But some of theses things will perhaps be measured in cultural terms, for example when we first came here we were all greeted by: “What is your name?” Now anybody coming to Amaravati is welcomed by “Tashi Delek”, the Tibetan greeting.

But I believe that Amaravati is going to be in the focus of the international Buddhist circuit and, having dealt with this one, it could become a venue for similar events.
